Medmain Develops AI for the Automatic Assesment of Ki-67 Labeling Index in Immunohistochemical Specimens -Published in Diagnostics-
Medmain Inc., provider of the digital pathology support solution “PidPort,” has successfully developed an AI model that automatically detects Ki-67-positive cells and quantifies the labeling index (LI) in immunohistochemical digital slides.
In this study, we established a model that automatically identifies Ki-67-positive and -negative cells and quantifies the labeling index by detecting cell nuclei and performing cell-level classification on whole-slide images (WSIs).
The model demonstrated high accuracy, with results closely aligned with pathologists’ evaluations.
